Ingredients
2cupsplus 2 teaspoons butterdivided
2cupssugar
¼cupwater
1 ½cupsmilk chocolate chips
*Optional* 1 ½ cups finely chopped pecans
Instructions
Grease a parchment paper lined 15"x10" baking sheet with 2 teaspoons butter.
In a large, heavy bottom pot, melt remaining butter over medium heat.
Add sugar and water to the butter. Continue cooking over medium heat and stir continuously until a candy thermometer reaches 300 (hard crack stage).
Quickly pour onto prepared baking sheet.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate chip on top to melt. When they become soft, you can spread them evenly over the top. Sprinkle pecans, if desired.
