Ingredients
1 ½poundslean ground beef
1(7 ounce) package pepperoni, chopped
1tablespoonItalian seasoning
½teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoononion powder
¼teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonblack pepper
6hamburger buns
¾cuppizza sauce
6mozzarella or provolone slices
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Gently mix together until all ingredients are incorporated. I like to use my hands for this part (washed thoroughly before and after, of course)
Form your meat mixture into 6 balls, then press into circular patties.
Place your patties on your preheated and hot grill. Cook on the first side until you start to see juices build up on the top, about 4-7 minutes
Flip your patties and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until patties are cooked through to your liking. If you're using cheese, add it now.
Place warm hamburgers on buns. Top with a cheese slice and about 2 tablespoons pizza sauce for topping.
Please note: Cook times will vary depending on your specific grill. Using a meat thermometer is probably the easiest way to determine if your patties are done. The USDA recommends all ground meats be cooked to 160*.
