Ingredients
1poundground Italian sausage
1large onionchopped
2(24 ounce) jars traditional spaghetti sauce
¼poundbacon(about 2 to 4 slices) cooked and crumbled
1cupdiced ham or Canadian bacon
1(8 ounce) package penne or rotini noodlescooked to package instructions
1poundfrozen meatballsthawed
1(2.5 ounce) package pepperonidivided
2 to 3cupsshredded mozzarella
Fresh parsley, grated parmesan, red pepper flakesfor serving
Instructions
To a large pot over medium heat, add sausage and onion. Brown sausage with onion until cooked through and no longer pink.
Drain grease from sausage and return the sausage to the pot over medium heat.
To the same pot, add sauce, bacon and ham. Stir to combine.
Bring to a simmer and allow to cook for about 10 minutes.
Add noodles, meatballs, and half of the pepperoni to the pot. Stir to combine. Remove from heat.
Pour pasta into a 9"x13" baking dish.
Generously sprinkle mozzarella on top.
Top with remaining pepperoni.
Bake uncovered at 350°F for about 20 minutes until cheese is melted and casserole is hot and bubbly.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley, grated parmesan, and red pepper flakes before serving.
