Ingredients
8bacon sliceschopped
1cupsliced smoked sausage
4cupssweet cornfresh, frozen, or canned- drained if canned
½a large sweet onionchopped
¼cupgreen bell pepper
¼cupred bell pepper
4ozcream cheese½ of a block
¼cuphalf and half
salt and pepper
Instructions
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp (or on a baking sheet in the oven at 400°, for a faster method) Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Save 2 tablespoons of drippings.
Saute onion, corn, sausage, and peppers in drippings in skillet over medium heat for about 6 minutes or onion is translucent and vegetables are tender.
Add cream cheese and half-and-half, stirring until cream cheese is melted.
