bacon
halved length-wise

medium onion
chopped

chopped green bell pepper

(28 ounce) cans Pork n Beans
¾
cup
barbecue sauce
½
cup
brown sugar
¼
cup
cider vinegar
¼
cup
prepared yellow mustard

tablespoons
ketchup

tablespoon
chili powder
Instructions
In a large pot over high heat, fry bacon to partially cooked, with a nice sear on the outside. Drain and set aside, leaving drippings in pot.
Add onions and peppers to the pot with the drippings. Saute until tender, about 5 minutes.
Add Pork n Beans and remaining ingredients (except bacon) to the pot and bring to a low simmer.
Pour bean mixture into a 9"x13" baking dish. Top with bacon.
Bake in 325° oven for about 2 hours.
Remove oven and allow to stand for sauce to thicken before serving.
