November 2016 Monthly Meal Plan
Okay, guys. Better late than never, right? I promised that I'd get more on top of my meal planning game from now on, and I'm really trying! I get caught up in holidays and school and family and then I'm one who always sees lots of squirrels and it takes me forever to get anything done because I'm easily distracted. So. Now I'm left scrambling to get my monthly meal plan together because monthly shopping day was... umm... LAST Saturday. Ugh. I have it done though! It's here! Here's what I have for you this month (even though it's a few days late! Sorry!)
November is just as busy a month for us as October. We have three family birthdays (including our very own Baby Princess who will be THREE this year! Time is just flying!), plus Thanksgiving. I tried to stick to very easy recipes because I'll be baking like a mad woman. Cakes for the birthdays and pies for Thanksgiving.
- For breakfast, I stuck with family favorites, and threw in a couple Fall (a.k.a. PUMPKIN) recipes because at the end of the month, you know we'll be switching over to peppermint season!
- For snack, I again included our old faithful and some festive Thanksgiving inspired recipes too that will be totally fun for the kids (and yeah, okay, I'm excited about it too!)
- For dinner, I went full-on easy comfort food. Crock Pot Recipes like Crockpot Pork Roast and Crockpot Sloppy Joes. Warm soups like Mr. Gracious' favorite Chicken and Dumplings and Crockpot Cheesy Potato Soup. Plus just even more delicious comfort food! So excited for dinner this month! Bring on the over-sized sweaters!
- This isn't in the meal plan, but I wanted to share it anyway. For Thanksgiving, we'll be making the traditional turkey dinner. Here are a couple of our favorite for that if you're looking for inspiration:
Those are the recipes that I use for Thanksgiving every year, and I'll usually throw in an extra side dish or too, plus a non-pie dessert.
Now, back to the meal plan....

I love it when people post meal plans - I get stuck in a rut sometimes and this helps! Thanks for sharing on the What's for Dinner link up!
