When I was a kid, Saturday mornings used to be just about my favorite thing in the world. Why? Because, aside from the fact that there was no school, there was also a high probability that I would get to eat waffles for breakfast. Man, oh, man, did I love waffles. Not even the good kind either. The kind that come frozen in a box that you put in the toaster for a few minutes before slathering them in store-bought syrup to disguise the slight freezer-burnt taste. Yum.
Now that I’m older, I still truly do love waffles. But I like to think that my palate has changed for the better with age. I’ve slowly drifted away from plain old frozen waffles and towards more delicious, creative waffle options. These Waffle Recipes have become my new Saturday morning favorites.
