I'm not sure why I haven't shared this Green Beans with Shallots recipe yet. It's one of my go-to's! Everyone needs a favorite good green bean recipe, and this is definitely mine.  I love it because it is so easy to make. Just THREE ingredients! Plus, they're perfect for nearly every occasion.  I've used them for holidays and dinner parties, and I've served these green beans with shallots with just our basic weeknight baked chicken.  They're a hit every time.

To make your own green beans with shallots, place butter in a large skillet over medium heat to melt.  Add thinly sliced shallots and saute until tender and translucent.  I will sometimes also add a couple cloves of minced garlic. Remove from heat and set aside.  Place green beans in a large pot of boiling water, and allow to cook for just 1-2 minutes, not too long or they will get soggy. Drain the water. Then combine green beans with butter and shallot mixture. Stir to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.  Serve with your favorite entree and enjoy!
