The trick to these amazing caramelized onions is to pretty much leave them alone and let them cook for a long period of time over low heat. ย I'm not kidding, it takes forever. ย And with 3 small, curious little kiddos, I really can't walk away from a stove that's on! ย So it seemed like a pretty obvious leap to put these in the slow cooker for Crockpot Caramelized Onions.

Crockpot Caramelized Onions
Ingredients
- 3-6 large sweet onions sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
Instructions
- Place onions in the slow cooker.
- Pour melted butter on top.
- Cook on low heat for 8-10 hours, until onions are sweet, tender, and golden brown.
