Crockpot Christmas Candy

If youโ€™re looking for the easiest homemade Christmas candy ever, this Crockpot Christmas Candy is the holiday treat youโ€™ll find yourself making every year. Itโ€™s sweet, crunchy, chocolatey, and loaded with sweet indulgence. No baking, no fuss, and almost entirely hands-off thanks to the slow cooker!

This classic slow cooker candy is a holiday lifesaver: just layer the chocolate, let it melt low and slow, stir in the mix-ins, and scoop. The results are adorable little clusters that taste like a mix between chocolate-covered peanuts and toffee bark.

Theyโ€™re perfect for gifting, cookie trays, classroom treats, or snacking while you wrap presents and watch Christmas movies.

Why Youโ€™ll Love This Crockpot Christmas Candy

  • Nearly hands-off. The slow cooker melts everything perfectly with no babysitting or double boiler.
  • Makes a huge batch. Perfect for gifting to neighbors, teachers, coaches, friends, or filling up festive tins.
  • Crowd-pleasing flavors. Creamy chocolate, crunchy peanuts, sweet toffee, and holiday sprinkles. Everyone loves them!
  • Stays fresh. These little candies store beautifully and taste great for days, making them ideal make-ahead holiday treats.

Tips for Perfect Slow Cooker Christmas Candy

  • Donโ€™t skip the towel. This is the secret to smooth, silky chocolate that wonโ€™t seize.
  • Use roasted peanuts. Raw peanuts donโ€™t have enough flavor; roasted give that perfect salty-sweet balance.
  • Customize it. Add chopped pretzels, dried cranberries, mini marshmallows, or swap peanuts for almonds, cashews, walnuts, or pecans.
  • Gift it! Package cooled candies in cute tins, cellophane bags, or mason jars for easy homemade Christmas gifts.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound white (vanilla) almond bark
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces German sweet chocolate coarsely chopped
  • 16 ounces roasted peanuts (or other coarsely chopped nuts)
  • 8 ounces toffee bits
  • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  • To a large slow cooker, add almond bark, chocolate chips, and chopped chocolate.
  • Place a clean, dry towel over the top of the slow cooker then place the lid on top of that (this will prevent condensation moisture from getting in the chocolate, causing it to seize.)
  • Cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
  • Reduce heat to LOW, and cook for an additional hour, or until fully melted.
  • Remove lid and towel carefully so that no condensation or moisture drips into the chocolate.
  • Add peanuts and toffee bits. Stir to combine.
  • Line several baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Drop candy mixture by the spoonful onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with festive sprinkles if desired.
  • Allow to set until chocolate is firm. You can speed up the process by refrigerating for 30 to 60 minutes.

Notes

  • Storage: Store your crockpot Christmas candy in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or refrigerate for longer freshness.ย
  • Freezer Directions:ย These also freeze well for up to 3 months. Perfect for getting ahead on holiday goodies.
