Creamy, smooth 2 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge that you can make in the microwave in about 5 minutes with just 2 ingredients! So little work, so much delicious!

2 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge
Lately my kids have been super into making food for themselves. Since I don't like them using the stove or oven without supervision quite yet, they've taken to the microwave. And since one of their all-time favorite treats is peanut butter fudge, we found a way for them to cook it up themselves. In the microwave! With just 2 ingredients!
2 Ingredient Microwave Peanut Butter Fudge is easy to make but also creamy, smooth, and delicious.
This recipe is so simple that you really can't mess up. Only two ingredients a container of pre-made vanilla frosting and a jar of peanut butter.

Can I Use Any Frosting?
No. Plain vanilla frosting works best in my opinion. You can try other flavors of frosting that might go well with peanut butter, such as a plain chocolate.
Stay away from whipped frostings, as they're the wrong consistency. The fudge won't set properly if you used whipped. I also personally did not care for the flavor of cream cheese frosting with the peanut butter, but the consistency was okay.
What Can I Add to 2 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge?
This 2 ingredient peanut butter fudge is delicious on its own. If you'd like to add a little extra flavor or some garnishes on top, sprinkle some of these ideas on top, then gently press in before the fudge sets.
- Oreo pieces
- Reese's
- Peanuts
- Chopped almonds or peanuts
- Festive sprinkles
- Chocolate chips
- Pretzels

Peanut Butter Fudge
Ingredients
- 1 can vanilla frosting (16 ounces)
- 1 jar peanut butter (crunchy or creamy) (18 ounces)
Instructions
- Empty entire jars of vanilla frosting and peanut butter into a large microwave-safe mixing bowl.
- Place in microwave and heat for about 60 seconds or until melted. Mix well.
- Quickly pour the mixture into a 9x9 pan lined with foil.
- Allow fudge to set, cut into small squares, and enjoy!
Notes
- Use creamy peanut butter, NOT natural. The natural peanut butter is too runny and will not set properly.
- Stay away from whipped frostings. The whipped frostings are not the right consistency, and again will not allow the fudge to set properly.
- Add any garnishes or add-ins right away before it sets or it won't stick.
- A glass pan is easiest, but any pan lined with foil will work.

Did everyone just use a jar of 16 OZ peanut butter?? There is 16 OZ and then a jar that's about twice the size, but not 18 oz as a single jar...wondering if I need to add another 2 oz of PB to make this come out right???
Michelle says
I would definitely add the extra peanut butter.
Bonnie says
Walmart brand peanut butter is 18 oz. That is what I always use to make this.
Dana Hartman says

Are u not supposed to refrigerate after mixing it?
Michelle says
No need to refrigerate. It sets up very quickly, even if not refrigerated.
Jen says
Can't beat this for ease, and the texture is amazing! My family loved it, but I would prefer a sweeter taste; less peanut butter-y. Is there anything I could add that wouldn't change the firmness and texture?
Michelle says
My try experimenting with the brand of frosting. Different brands are sweeter than others.

The 1st time I made this 2-Ingredient fudge was from You Tube and it was recommended to use the frosting: Salted Caramel. The couple that made the video were so excited about the taste that I thought I have to try this recipe. That is the only way I made it and I also made cans for Christmas gifts, because it was so easy & delicious! Back then you had to empty them out of the plastic containers and heat each in a separate glass bowl & then combine, then pour into a 8x8" or 9x9'' pan lined with parchment paper, depending on the thickness of the fudge you wanted.
Michelle says
Oooh! Salted caramel with this would be amazing! Thanks for the idea!
Ginny says
Ive made this fudge before with Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate Frosting. Also made it with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pecan Coconut Frosting. It was a big hit at a Church function.
Jessica Baldwin says
Mine came out really soft but my hubs loves the taste. A whole lot easier than my old recipe! Thank you ma'am 🥰
Janice says
Can you freeze this fudge? Any tips?
Michelle says
Yes, you can for up to 6 months.
Nancy Priest says
How much peanut butter do you have to add to make 18 oz? Can only find 16 oz jar.
Thank you
Michelle says
You would need about 20 ounces of peanut butter. Or you could take 2 ounces from the frosting, which would be about 1/4 cup.
Donna plunkard says
Can you use chocolate frosting
Michelle says
Yes! Chocolate and peanut butter are delicious together!
Opal says
I tried this recipe a few times and am a fan. I have experimented with it and found that keto icing does not work. Also I use 2 cups of crunchy peanut butter to 1 container of frosting mix, Comes out perfect. Am also wondering how this would work on top of a fudge cake or cookies.
Cecelia says
Definitely going to make this.
Being disabled and having rheumatoid arthritis in my hands makes it difficult to make things so this recipe is going to be so wonderful for people like me.
I'm wondering though,
What do you think... Would it be okay with using Peter Pan honey creamy peanut butter?
And what about using Pillsbury green frosting for some Christmas color?
I am looking forward to your thoughts.
Thank you 😊
Michelle says
I'm not sure about the texture of that peanut butter, but as long as it's not one that's very oily that you need to stir, it should be fine. As far as color... you could try! The color of the peanut butter might distort the green or red color a little. You could also just press or stir in some festive sprinkles before it sets. Let me know how it goes!
Barb says
So easy to make and dee-lish!
Donna says
Can you use cookie butter instead of the peanut butter?
Michelle says
We haven't tested it, but if you do, let us know how it goes!
