Homemade Peppermint Coffee Creamer
Ahhh! I'm so excited to finally share this recipe! I made it too late in the year to share it last year, and it feels like I've been waiting FOREVER to finally be able to share it this year. This. Is. SO GOOD! I made more Homemade Peppermint Coffee Creamer after Christmas and drank it into January. And then I used up our leftover candy canes to make makeshift peppermint coffee after that. Seriously. Peppermint flavored coffee is so good! How did I not know about it until now?!
If you're in need of a holiday pick me, this homemade peppermint coffee creamer will hit the spot. Hot peppermint coffee topped with whipped cream and a candy cane stirrer.... Mmmm... The perfect present-wrapping, Christmas dinner planning, all day shopping, tree decorating, festive companion!

How long is the life of the creamer? I am the only one at home who would be using it, and I would want to know how long it will last in the fridge before it needs to be replaced. Thank you!
Michelle Charles says
Yes, I too would like to know how long it will last in the fridge. Thank you! After January you cant find it in stores.
Michelle says
I go by the date on the milk/cream/half-and-half used to make it. It might be stable even a little longer because it was heated.

AMEN! I get so tired of not being able to find it. Milllstone used to offer can dy cane coffee, but SMuckers , who owns Millstone, said they discontinued it due to it not selling. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The bin was AWAYS empty when I went to buy it and when it was full, I made sure to buy a 5 lb bag! Now.... 🙁 I can't peppermint coffee or creamer! Its aggravating!!!
David M says
I made this once before and the peppermint was WAY too strong. I cut it down to 1/2 teaspoon of extract so it's not quite so strong. It is so good and I don't have to search all over town for it when they decide to sell, IF they decide to stock it..

This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this. I can't find any in the stores and I've been wanting some so bad!
Abby says
So good! We did find the peppermint to be a little overwhelming though. The final sweet spot for us was 1/4 teaspoon. I would recommend starting off with less, and slowly increasing it to taste!

What can I use to make this non dairy
Michelle says
You can use any non-dairy milk substitute. I would be worried that coconut cream would separate out of the creamer mixture when in the refrigerator, so I would avoid that one. Otherwise, any unsweetened non dairy substitute should work!
