Tangy but sweet Mustard Glazed Salmon is a quick and easy but also classic and elegant salmon recipe with only 5 ingredients! Make it in just 20 minutes!
Mustard Glazed Salmon
I don't know why but cooking fish sometimes intimidates me. Even if I know it's going to be an easy recipe, I still will tend to shy away from it. And it's kind of easy to do since I live in cow country! It's silly, I know. And not healthy either! So I've been working on overcoming my fear, slowly, and cooking more fish, and sharing more seafood recipes too. You can check out some more of my favorite (and super easy, mind you!) seafood recipes HERE.
This Mustard Glazed Salmon recipe is one of my new favorites. It takes just 20 minutes to make, top to bottom, and only has 5 ingredients (6 if you include salt and pepper, I guess.) But yeah. It's easy. No chopping, no mincing. It's based off of one of my favorite chicken recipes, this Maple Mustard Chicken. Only this Mustard Glazed Salmon recipe is even easier and has a shorter cook time. Let's get started!
To make your Mustard Glazed Salmon, you'll need 4-6 salmon fillets, Dijon mustard, maple syrup (this is what makes it glaze-y), olive oil, thyme, and salt and pepper. Start by preheating your oven to 450°F. Then place your salmon fillets on a baking sheet (skin side down if there is any). Season the salmon with salt and pepper and set it aside for now.
In a mixing bowl, add Dijon mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, and thyme and whisk to combine. I just use a fork. Then brush mustard glaze onto each salmon fillet using a pastry brush. Pop the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes until the fish is opaque and cooked through.
Serve your tangy sweet Mustard Glazed Salmon with these creamy, salty Bacon Feta Peas, and enjoy!
