A yummy, versatile, and healthy option for snacks that kids will enjoy using ingredients you probably already have on hand.
Banana Cereal Snacks - Snack Idea for Kids
My kids eat lots of fruits and vegetables for snacks throughout the day, but sometimes we like to switch it up a bit. So, of course, I hit up Pinterest to find some ideas, and I came across a picture for banana, cereal, and peanut butter treats. There was no link connected to the picture, but it looked easy enough to try out on my own. Here's what I did:
Gathered the ingredients. It's probably stuff you already have in your house!
- 2 Bananas
- Peanut butter
- Cereal (I used toasted rice cereal)
- some wax paper. Foil or parchment paper would work just as well. You just need it so you don't have to wipe peanut butter smears off your counter.
And there are TONS of variations you could use on this snack. You could sub nutella or sunflower butter for the peanut butter. You could try out different types of cereal. We have some dark chocolate cheerios at our house that would probably be delicious!
The best part? The kids approved!

My kids cannot bring peanut butter to school. What would be a good alternative?

Sunbutter (made with sunflower seeds), nutella, cream cheese, chocolate hummus. These are so versatile. I hope that helps!
