Collage with a blackberry lemon spritzer with ice and blackberries in a stemless wine glass with a lemon wedge on the rim on top, an overhead view of the same drink on bottom, and the words "blackberry lemon spritzer" in the center.

Fresh, bubbly, and a little sweet, this fun and pretty Blackberry Lemon Spritzer is made with real blackberries. It's perfect for all occasions and can be made into a mocktail or a cocktail.

Blackberry Lemon Spritzer

If this is isn't a happy, cheery drink perfect for a warm bright day, then I just don't know what is!  Blackberry Lemon Spritzers are a fun and fruity drink made with real blackberries. They are as pretty as they are tasty, and while they are a family-friendly mocktail, you can also easily make and adult cocktail version.

This bubbly, fresh drink combines the tanginess of lemons with the sweet juiciness of blackberries, creating a dynamic duo of flavors that will leave your taste buds tingling.

If you love this blackberry and lemon combo as much as I do, pair it with these beautiful and fresh, lemon blackberry cupcakes.

Can I Make this Blackberry Lemon Spritzer with Alcohol?

Yes, this pretty beverage can be made into a cocktail, as well! And it's just as easy.

Just add 1 cup of vodka, and substitute the soda for 2 cups of sparkling wine. I recommend a white or rose sparkling wine for this recipe. Then follow the rest of the recipe as written.

Fresh or Frozen Berries?

The berries in this recipe are actually frozen to act as ice cubes to keep the drink cool. You are welcome to use fresh blackberries, but freeze them before using.

Do I Have to Use Blackberries?

No, you can use any type of berry you'd like in your spritzer. Try blueberries, sliced strawberries, or raspberries, too!

Can Blackberry Lemon Spritzers be Made Ahead of Time?

I do not recommend making this spritzer ahead of time, as it will make the soda lose carbonation and go flat. However, you can combine the lemonade and soda an hour or two ahead of time and place in an airtight container in the fridge before serving.

I want to try this for a party but I have a question. Is lemon soda: lemon flavored soda water or a lemon lime soda, like sprite?

Either will work. The lemon lime soda will be a little sweeter than the flavored soda water. So it's up to your personal preference.
