Creamy, cool, and refreshing, these Peach Floats are the perfect tangy and sweet drink! Delicious for Summer and pretty for parties.
Peach Floats
It's time to break out the fruity drinks for Summer, folks. There's no better way to beat the heat than with this refreshing, sweet Peach Floats recipe, all decked out with a scoop of creamy ice cream. It's really easy to make and takes just a few minutes. Plus, you can adjust the recipe below to serve a crowd or leave it as is to serve a few (The recipe below will make about 6 servings).
To make your own peach floats, you'll just need lemon-lime soda for some sparkle and bubbles, peach juice, peach tea, vanilla ice cream, and depending on how sweet you like your fruity drinks you may want to add some sweetener like sugar, honey, agave nectar or even a simple syrup.
Grab a large pitcher or punch bowl, and pour in the soda, peach juice, and peach tea. Give it a little stir to combine them, and then taste it to see how much sweetener you want to add, if any at all. Remember that you're also adding some sweet ice cream and the soda should sweeten things up a bit too. So just use your own taste buds to make the call. Add the sweetener and stir until it's totally dissolved.
If you're making a big punch recipe, you can just add the ice cream straight into the punch bowl, and let your guests help themselves. If you're going for a more individual peach float kind of approach, pour your peach drink mixture into each of 6 glasses ( or more if you adjusted the recipe at all), and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each. Serve immediately with a straw.
You could also add a fresh peach wedge or some mint leaves for a pretty garnish, which would work in the individual peach floats or in a big punch bowl floating on top. To make your peach floats a little boozy, you could substitute 2 cups of the soda for sparkling wine, or just add ⅓ cup vodka to the whole mixture.
These peach floats are pretty, refreshing, and perfect for company!
