With the holidays coming up, I wanted to share my latest favorite holiday breakfast recipe. Make-ahead breakfasts and overnight breakfasts are great (like this one!). Unless you’re me and you forget to “make it ahead” until it’s too late and then you’ve got a hot mess on your hands and cereal for breakfast in the morning. So this Pull Apart Caramel Coffee Cake recipe is my solution to that problem.
Pull Apart Caramel Coffee Cake is super easy to make. The longest part is the 30 minute bake time. And seriously I just whip it up while the kids are busy bouncing off the walls excited for the holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, you name it). They don’t even notice I was gone until they smell the sweet caramel in the oven.
Pull Apart Caramel Coffee Cake is sweet and gooey and highly addictive. The kids aren’t the only ones who love it! It’s like a super sticky amazing monkey bread. For breakfast. Yum.
To make your own Pull Apart Caramel Coffee Cake, lightly grease a bundt pan and set it aside. Then grab two tubes of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters (4 pieces). Place all of the biscuit pieces into the greased bundt pan, then set it aside again. In a large mixing bowl, add brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla (and a little cinnamon if you want it to taste more like a gooey cinnamon roll!). Whisk it all together then pour it over the biscuit pieces. Bake in a 350°F oven for about 25-30 minutes, until it’s cooked through. Then allow it to cool (if you can) for about 10-20 minutes so that it sets and dumps over easily while still holding its shape!
Pull Apart Caramel Coffee Cake Recipe
- 2 12 ounce tubes refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Cut each biscuit into quarters. Place all pieces in a greased bundt pan. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add brown sugar, cream, cinnamon, and vanilla. Whisk to combine.
Pour sugar and cream mixture over biscuits.
Bake in a 350° oven for about 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
Allow to cool for 10-20 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate to serve and eat.
