Wow this cake looks amazing! I am actually the chocolate fiend in my house, and think it's officially time to graduate from the cake mix box. Pinned this from Bloggers Brag.

Thanks for stopping in and pinning! This cake is far superior to any chocolate box cake I've had. And it's pretty easy too. My dad makes a similar one, and he's... not so great in the kitchen. Lol But it turns out delicious for him. Definitely give it a try.

This was my favorite chocolate cake growing up. That melted frosting on the warm cake is oh so yummy!

Have made this several times now, and am finding that it needs to bake 25 minutes, as opposed to the 15 minutes stated. Could have some to do with altitude, but just a note, be sure to check with toothpick! Otherwise the recipe is spot on an oh, so, yummy! Always a hit at the office!!

Hi! What size baking sheet do I use?
Michelle says
Like a rimmed cookie sheet. I only have half sheet sizes, so 12"x17"

Iโve made this recipe countless times. Itโs a delicious crowd pleaser and is simple to make. I recommend adding toasted chopped pecans on top of the cooked cake then pouring the glaze over. I also recommend using a rich Mexican vanilla for a more authentic Texas flavor. Thank you for sharing this!
