Homemade Caramel Coffee Creamer
I'm back again with another Homemade Coffee Creamer recipe to fuel my addiction. ย This time Homemade Caramel Coffee Creamer! ย I know I say this every time, but it's my new favorite.
Just imagine your hot morning coffee with smooth, creamy, sweet homemade caramel coffee creamer. It's how every day should start! When I need an even bigger pick me up, I like to top off my sweet caramel coffee treat with a little dollop of whipped cream. ย When my kids see me whip out the whipped cream, they now ask "Mommy, are you having a bad day?" ย (which is better than their previous Mommy, you're crabby today. You need more coffee. So I'll take it!)
Well, I was having a bad day, children, but my yummy coffee treat with Homemade Caramel Coffee Creamer is just the pick-me-up I needed! ย

This caramel coffee creamer looks like a great way to make my morning coffee all the more delicious. I like that all it takes to make this creamer is milk, half and half, sugar, caramel topping, and vanilla extract. This seems like a simple recipe to make, so I can't wait to try this with my next cup of coffee.
My Geisha Clarkson says
I love this coffee creamer as is and I have also turned it into salted caramel creamer by adding 3/4 tsp to 1 tsp of salt along with the vanilla. It's just as good if not better in iced coffee as hot coffee. I take a large glass or Mason jar and fill it almost all the way up with ice and add 2 to 3 shots of espresso and some of this creamer and it is the best iced coffee ever. Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to try the other coffee creamer recipes.

Sounds wonderful but when I added the ingredients in MyFitnessPal the calorie count was 75 calories for 2 Tablespoons. Not sure why.
Michelle says
It might depend on the brand of caramel topping, what percent fat milk you use, or fat free vs. regular half-and-half.
Syra says
I made it just this morning. Instead of half and half I used heavy cream and whole milk and sea salt caramel sauce. It was so creamy and perfect for my morning coffee. Thanks for the recipe!

Recipes look delicious! Quick question could you use nut milk to make it dairy free in place of the milk/half and half? Thanks so much!
Michelle says
Yes! That would absolutely work. Just be aware that since nut milks are generally thinner/more watery it will probably not be as thick/rich as with milk and cream.

Happy to find a easy recipe !

Do you have a preference as far as what caramel topping to use?
Michelle says
I don't. I feel like Hershey's or Smuckers are probably the most widely available. But I'll often use off-brand if I can find it.
Jessica Hamilton says
Can I use homemade caramel?
Michelle says
Sure!
Susan Warwick says
Can I substitute raw honey instead of sugar??
Michelle says
You can, but it will significantly alter the flavor as honey has a very distinctive taste very different from caramel
