Air Fryer Baby Potatoes Variations
I love that this Air Fryer Baby Potato recipe keeps it simple. It both allows the potatoes to shine, if you leave it as-is, or lets you personalize to your own taste preferences or mood.
- Herbs - Add fresh or dried herbs. My favorites are thyme or sage. You can also try rosemary or dill.
- Red Pepper Flakes - This is an easy way to give your potatoes a little spicy kick. Add as much as you'd like to get your desired spice.
- Cajun - Toss in some Cajun or creole seasoning to give it a bold flavor boost. My favorite is Tony Chachere's
- Fresh Garlic - Add some minced fresh garlic to the olive oil for extra garlicky flavor.
- Vegetables - Other vegetables can be added to the air fryer as well with the potatoes. Try onions, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, radishes, or green beans. For the harder vegetables, you can add them at the same time as the potatoes. For softer vegetables, add them at the halfway point.
- Lemon - Lemon will give your potatoes a welcome burst of freshness (and would also pair well with fresh dill).
- Parmesan - a sprinkle of parmesan before air frying will give the potatoes and little extra crispness. And a sprinkle after will make sure they have that classic nutty Parmesan flavor.
- Flavored oil - After your air fryer baby potatoes are done cooking, toss them in a flavored finishing oil, such as garlic, chili, or truffle oil. These add so much flavor and it's so easy to do.
- Butter - Potatoes and butter are a match made in heaven. Toss your cooked potatoes in a little melted butter and season with additional salt and pepper to taste for that classic, rich potato flavor.
What to Serve with Air Fryer Baby Potatoes
These potatoes are so versatile! There are so many delicious ways to serve them.
- Loaded - Load these potatoes up with cheese, bacon, pulled pork, chives or green onions, pico de gallo, guacamole, or all of your favorite toppings for a fun meal or appetizer.
- With a dip - In my opinion, everything is better with a dipping sauce. You can go simple with ketchup or ranch. You can also dip in a little honey mustard, cheese sauce, sour cream, Sriracha, barbecue, or even guacamole.
- As a Side Dish - These air fryer baby potatoes are delicious even without any of the extra toppings or sauces, and they make a perfect side dish. Pair them with meatloaf, pork chops, Southern fried catfish, or your favorite chicken.
- Breakfast Potatoes - Serve these potatoes with breakfast as a side dish or in a skillet with eggs. You can also serve them with sausage gravy or put them in a breakfast taco or burrito.
