Ham and Cheese Pizza
This Ham and Cheese Pizza is an amazing comfort food mash-up. It takes everything you love about a classic ham and cheese sandwich and turns it into a warm, cheesy, golden-baked pizza thatโs hard to resist.
Instead of traditional red sauce, this pizza uses a creamy, homemade cheese sauce as the base. Itโs rich, smooth, and perfectly complements the salty diced ham and melty cheese on top.
Itโs cozy, family-friendly, and a fun unique twist on your usual pizza night without any extra stress.
Why Youโll Love This Recipe
- Ultra creamy base - The homemade cheese sauce makes this pizza rich and extra satisfying.
- Kid-friendly favorite - Simple flavors that even picky eaters love.
- Great way to use leftover ham - Perfect after holidays or big family dinners.
- Customizable - Easy to switch up cheeses or add extra toppings.
- Comfort food at its best - Warm, cheesy, and totally crave-worthy.

Tips & Variations
- Use high-quality cheese - Since cheese is the star here, freshly shredded cheese melts better and gives the best flavor.
- Try different cheeses - Mozzarella is classic, but cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend all work great.
- Homemade crust option - While store-bought crust can work in a pinch, use my homemade pizza dough for the best flavor and texture. It gives you that soft, chewy inside with a perfectly crisp edge that really takes this pizza to the next level.
- Donโt skip the olive oil - Brushing the crust helps prevent sogginess from the sauce.
- Make it crispy - Bake directly on a pizza stone or preheated pan for a crispier crust.
- Add a little sweetness - A drizzle of honey or hot honey pairs surprisingly well with the salty ham.
- Season to taste - Ham can be salty, so taste your sauce before adding extra salt
How to Serve Ham and Cheese Pizza
This ham and cheese pizza is hearty enough to stand on its own, but it pairs perfectly with a simple green salad, Caesar salad, or even a light pasta salad if youโre feeding a crowd.
It also makes a great addition to casual gatherings, game nights, or family pizza nights when you want something a little different from the usual pepperoni.

Storage & Reheating
Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freeze before baking: Assemble the pizza fully on a pan (dough, sauce, toppings), then wrap tightly in plastic wrap and foil. Freeze for up to 2 months. Bake straight from frozen at 475ยฐF, adding a few extra minutes to the bake time until the crust is golden and cooked through.
- Freeze After Baking: Allow pizza to cool completely, then slice and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Place in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze for up to 2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350ยฐF until warmed through, or in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp the crust. The microwave works in a pinch, but the crust will be softer.
